Assistance with mental health diagnosis and treatment.

2. How do families enter this system?
Self referral, referral through another agency such as probation.

3. What does this system provide?
Therapy, respite, case management, Supportive Case Management (SCM), Intensive Case Management (ICM), day treatment, partial day programs, hospitalization, Home and Community Based Waiver placements and residential placement (Residential Treatment Facility),OMH uses a system they refer to as a SPOA or Single Point of Access in each county as a clearinghouse to manage referrals to various levels of case management as well as referrals to agencies.

4. What are the eligibility requirements?
A mental health diagnosis with some degree of impairment in ability to function adequately at home in school or in the community. Each program may have it's own eligibility criteria. Many counties use an assessment tool as a means of objectively determining the degree of impairment such as the Child and Adolescent Needs Scale (CANS) or Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS)
