  • A support group for individuals (mainly adults 18+) with Asperger’s Syndrome or other similar Pervasive Developmental Disorder- Not otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). Families & friends of those affected, as well as people who are just interested, are also welcome to attend the meetings.

  • Chenango Adoption/Foster Family Group:

    Supports adoptive, foster, and kinship care families who are raising children with special needs.

  • Chenango County Autism Support Group: Provides support and information to families raising children with autism spectrum disorders including PDD-NOS, Asperger Syndrome, and Sensory Integration Disorder. Many meetings cover broad topics that apply to parents of children with various needs.

    The group meets on the first Thursday of each month, 6-8pm, in the Norwich YMCA, Norwich NY.

    September through December and February through May.

  • Low Vision Support Group

    Meets 1st Thursday of each month, 1-3 pm at Norwich YMCA.

  • Dealing and Healing: A monthly grief support group for children and teens

    Dealing and Healing provides a safe and supportive environment to learn ways and receive support from others to help deal with grief and have experiences with others to help heal from grief.

    Specialized in children and teen grief, this group is facilitated by the professional and experienced grief counselors at Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care.

    The group is free of charge and is open to any school-aged child or teen 4-19 years in Otsego, Delaware or Schoharie counties who has experienced the loss of a loved one.
